Protecting our air & water

We live in one of the most beautiful parts of Washington – it’s truly God’s Country. And it is key to our recreation and economy – tourism, fishing and economic development rely on our natural resources and unparalleled beauty.  I’m focused on making sure we have clean air to breathe and clean water to drink. I’m a fierce protector of salmon and our iconic orca population and will continue to support restoration and tribal rights. As an Island County Commissioner, I passed the first Climate Change Resolution committing to take specific and measurable actions to address climate change, align our work with current science and make continual efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
